My First Board Meeting

Its a long week for me, what with a board meeting, a senior management meeting and an IT steering committee meeting all squashed into one week. That kinda leaves me with only 2 days to get some real work done.

Well, I’m thankful at least that the most important of all the meetings is already done today. We had a full day of meeting with the board. I had to provide an update of the IT project to the board, and I’m glad that it all went very well.

Since its my very first time speaking to a board level group, I was understandably a little nervous, but it all went well, and I thank God I didn’t shrivel up and dissappeared into the ground.

Everyone’s mood is also very much lighter after the meeting, and it looks like it’s going to be a good week!
